Movements, Breath, Healing Sounds and Self-Touch,
Explore SIBAM through simple Dao Yin practices with curiosity, fun, joy, creativity and openness
Come into a sense of centering and settling through gentle, graceful, and harmonising movements that are appropriate to each one’s body and its needs. Follow your own flow of breath to move the Qi without resistance all over your body, from the base of the spine to the tip of your crown. Work with vibrational sounds that help with relaxation of the jaws, the facial column, the spine and pelvis to bring tranquility to the entire nervous system. |
Use the self-touch technique to increase resonance and deep listening of the heart.
The intention is to : · draw in internal and external resources · to enhance resilience · bring about health and wellness into our whole being · to regulate our nervous system and to be present in one's heart, the mind and the spirit |
QIGONG + TAI CHI
Qi (pronounced "chee" as in "cheetah") is the prana or vital force of any person. Gong (pronouned "gung" to rhyme with "lung") is our investment to cultivate our Qi.
Tai chi is an ancient martial arts form known for its numerous health benefits. Practitioners are relieved of stress and regain vitality.

SOMATIC EXPERIENCING
Cicily Thomas,
Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Sexual Trauma Therapist (I work with all genders), Taich-Qigong Master, Counsellor, Gestalt & NLP therapist Various events interrupt the flow of our life force, creating blockages and stress responses in the body. Somatic Experiencing helps disentangle these blockages by addressing the physical symptoms and behavioural responses in the here and now, and enabling regulation of the nervous system. In the SE sessions that I offer, I look to support the autonomy of the client in their journey to wellness and health. I encourage clients to be curious, explore, access, and ease their body through spontaneous movements. When appropriate, I include healing sounds, self-touch, boundary and embodiment exercises to enable resilience and regulation, in a relationship based on safety, trust, respect, curiosity, openness, kindness, compassion, and acceptance. You can also find me at Traumahealing.org. |
